Inga Martinkutė

Chairwoman of the Board

Inga Martinkutė is Chairwoman of the Board of Baltic Litigation Fund. As an attorney at law and a frequently appointed arbitrator, Inga specializes in international investment law. She has been in private practice for nearly 20 years, involved in the most complex disputes in Eastern Europe.

Inga is a partner at the boutique law firm MMSP that focuses on strategic dispute resolution and corporate advisory services. Inga is a member of the ICSID arbitrators’ panel and a recommended arbitrator at the Vilnius Court of Commercial Arbitration. Previously, she was an associate partner at the leading Pan – Baltic law firm Valiunas Ellex in Vilnius, where she successfully represented the Government of Lithuania in a number of investment disputes.

Inga holds a PhD degree from National University of Singapore (the Republic of Singapore), LL.M degree from the University College London (England) and a Master of Laws degree from Vilnius University (Lithuania).

Raimonda Kundrotaitė

Director & Member of the Board, Legal Counsel

Raimonda Kundrotaitė is Director and Member of the Board at BLF Management UAB. For nearly 10 years, she has been handling complex energy project development and holding responsibility in overseeing international investment and commercial arbitration in Eastern Europe. Raimonda is an attorney at law in Texas, the United States of America.

Raimonda is CLO at a publicly traded energy company Misen Energy AB (Sweden). Prior to that, she worked at the leading Pan – Baltic law firm Valiunas Ellex in Vilnius (Lithuania).

Raimonda holds LL.M degree in Global Energy Law from the University of Texas at Austin (the United States of America), Master of Laws degree in International Commercial Arbitration Law from Stockholm University (Sweden) and Bachelor of Laws degree in Law and Management at Mykolas Romeris University (Lithuania). Ms. Kundrotaite attended Paris Arbitration Academy (France).

Povilas Pečiulis

Member of the Board & Head of Quantum Analysis

Povilas Pečiulis is Member of the Board and leads quantum analysis at BLF Management UAB. He has over 20 years’ experience in a financial sector with sound knowledge of investments, corporate finance, and management of multi million-dollar fixed assets.

Povilas is CEO and a member of the board at Modus Asset Management. He was CFO of Modus Group, held positions in Ernst & Young Baltic and Swedbank.

Povilas has a Bachelor degree in Economics from Vilnius University (Lithuania) and completed the Executive Program at California’s Singularity University (the United States of America).

The Advisory Committee is comprised of leading experts in law, finance, and business management. On an individual case basis, Baltic Litigation Fund may consult the Advisory Committee about perspective legal, quantum or enforcement implications of a particular case and receive an advisory opinion before rendering an investment decision.

Dr. Galina Zukova

Advisory Committee Member

Dually qualified in Paris and Latvia, Dr. Galina Zukova is a leading arbitration practitioner with twenty years of legal experience. She has served as an arbitrator (president, sole arbitrator, co-arbitrator and emergency arbitrator alike) in cases conducted under the most major institutional rules, including the ICC, LCIA, DIS, VIAC, SCC and Milan Chamber of Arbitration. She also regularly represents clients (individuals, corporate and state entities), and acts as expert in international arbitration proceedings.

Before founding her own firm in 2019, Dr. Zukova was a Partner with a boutique law firm and a lawyer in the top International Arbitration Practice Group of a major international law firm based in Paris. Prior to this, she worked as Counsel at the ICC International Court of Arbitration, where she was in charge of the case management team handling matters involving parties from Central and Eastern Europe, Turkey and Greece. In that role, she oversaw hundreds of arbitration proceedings and scrutinized hundreds of arbitral awards. Her previous work experience also includes the European Court of Justice in Luxembourg, a leading Baltic law firm and the Latvian European Integration Bureau (Latvian Government), where she was in charge of the legal aspects of Latvia’s accession to the European Union.

Dr. Zukova is a Member of the ICC International Court of Arbitration, a Board Member of the Finland Arbitration Institute (FAI), and a Vice-Chair of the Arbitration Council of the Georgian International Arbitration Centre (GIAC). She is a Member of the Organizing Committee of the ICCA Congress 2021. She is also an Associate Professor at the University of Versailles Saint-Quentin (Paris-Saclay) and the Riga Graduate School of Law.

A Latvian lawyer by training (LLB, University of Latvia), Galina has a PhD from the European University Institute (Florence, Italy) and an LLM from the University of Exeter (UK). She was also a Visiting Scholar at the Yale University (US).

Dr. Zukova is fluent in English, French, Italian, Latvian, Russian and Spanish. She has a working knowledge of German.

Galina is ranked in: Who’s Who Legal: Thought Leader – Arbitration 2021; WWL: Arbitration – Arbitrators and Counsel; WWL: Arbitration – Future Leaders; and WWL France: Arbitration (every year as of 2017). WWL 2019 ranked her as Number 2 of the “Most Highly Regarded” Future Arbitration Leaders, and writes: “Galina Zukova … is “an excellent and experienced lawyer with a particular focus on CIS-related cases”, according to sources. They note, “She has vast experience in and great knowledge of ICC arbitration proceedings.” In 2018, ArbitralWomen included Galina in its publication “Women Pioneers in Dispute Resolution”.

Olena Perepelynska

Advisory Committee Member

Olena Perepelynska has over 18 years of arbitration practice in leading Ukrainian and regional law firms. Since 2015 she is Partner and Head of Arbitration at INTEGRITES.

Since 2003, Ms Perepelynska represented the clients in about 90 arbitrations under the Arbitration Rules of the ICC, LCIA, SCC, SCAI, MKAS at CCI RF, ICAC and MAC at UCCI, GAFTA, FOSFA, LMAA, UNCITRAL and others. The arbitrations involved private and state parties and concerned wide range of issues and industries. She acted as an arbitrator (sole arbitrator, presiding arbitrator and co-arbitrator) in about 60 arbitrations, seated in Almaty, Bishkek, Kyiv, London, Minsk, Paris, Stockholm and Vienna.

Olena is President of the Ukrainian Arbitration Association (UAA), Board Member of the Russian Arbitration Association, Vice-president of the Polish-Ukrainian chapter of the Spanish Arbitration Club and member of the Global Steering Committee of the ERA-PLEDGE. She serves as member of the ICC International Court of Arbitration in Paris, member of the TIAC Court of Arbitration in Tashkent and Member of the Board of the International Arbitration Court “Chamber of Arbitrators at the Union of Lawyers” in Minsk.

Olena is admitted to the Ukrainian Bar and chairs the ADR committee of the Ukrainian National Bar Association. She is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators (FCIArb) and member of its the Approved Faculty List.

Olena holds Master of International Law form the Institute of International Relations of the Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv and Diploma in International Arbitration from the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators (UK). She has also completed two years course at the ICC Advanced Arbitration Academy for Central & Eastern Europe. Ms Perepelynska speaks fluent Ukrainian, Russian, English and Spanish. She has good knowledge of German and working knowledge of French.

Olena serves as editorial board member of Arbitration.ru, International Commercial Arbitration Review, Commercial Arbitration Journal and regularly publishes on arbitration-related topics.

Olena Perepelynska is ranked by Who’s Who Legal: Arbitration 2021 and is recognized as the “Lawyer of the Year” for Arbitration and Mediation in Ukraine by Best Lawyers (2022). She is included into Arbitration Powerlist 2020: CIS and Caucasus released by The Legal500 editorial and is recognized as Leading Individual for Dispute Resolution, by The Legal500 EMEA 2020. The ranking says ‘Olena Perepelynska is very active in the arbitration practice and has achieved a lot. Dr. Wojciech Sadowski

Advisory Committee Member

Dr. Wojciech Sadowski is a founding partner of Queritius. He focuses on international and trans-border dispute resolution, working as counsel and arbitrator.

Wojciech has been extensively involved in advisory work and client representation in matters involving international investment treaties and acted for both investors and states. He has also broad experience in in commercial arbitrations and litigations before domestic courts, the European Court of Human Rights, the General Court of the EU and the Court of Justice of the European Union.

He has acted in matters relating to, among others, construction, infrastructure, renewable and conventional energy, M&A, real estate, finance, intellectual property, telecoms, mining and metals, pharmaceutical, outsourcing, FMCG, sale of goods, shareholders’ agreements and unfair market practices.

Wojciech holds a PhD in legal studies and is the author or co-author of many articles and books on international and trans-border arbitration and litigation. Until 2013 he was a researcher and then assistant professor at the Institute of Legal Studies of the Polish Academy of Science, where he defended a PhD thesis on the res iudicata principle in investment treaty arbitration.

Before founding Queritius, Wojciech was a Warsaw and London partner at a leading global law firm and had almost 20 years of working in top legal brands.

Prof. Dr. Yarik Kryvoi

Advisory Committee Member

Professor Kryvoi is the Senior Fellow in International Economic Law and Director of the Investment Treaty Forum at the British Institute of International and Comparative Law in London. He is also a member of the New York State Bar (USA).

Before moving to academia, he practiced law with Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer in London, Morgan Lewis & Bockius in Washington, DC and Baker & McKenzie in Saint Petersburg. He is currently engaged in a number of law reform and capacity building projects for the United Nations, governmental agencies as well as academic institutions. He is listed as an arbitrator by several institutions, including Hong Kong International Arbitration Centre, Asian International Arbitration Centre and Shenzhen Court of International Arbitration. He is also the founder of CIS Arbitration Forum.

He authored a number of articles and monographs, primarily in the area of international dispute resolution as well as several empirical studies conducted with leading law firms. His recently published works include Private or Public Adjudication? Procedure, Substance and Legitimacy (Leiden Journal of International Law), International Centre for Settlement of Investment Disputes (Kluwer Law International). He is also creator and director of the online course International Investment Law and Dispute Resolution.

Professor Kryvoi holds academic degrees from Russia (Moscow), the United Kingdom (Nottingham), the Netherlands (Utrecht) and the United States (Harvard).

Ivan Vashchynets

Advisory Committee Member

Ivan Vashchynets is the Partner of ARBITRADE (Ukraine) specializing in civil law, commercial law, private international law, as well as IP law. Ivan has over 20 years of experience in litigation and international arbitration in high profile disputes.

He is also engaged in scientific and teaching activities as an Associate Professor at the Kyiv University of Law of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine.

Ivan is a member of the Committee on Agrarian and Land law of the Ukrainian National Bar Association. He authored a textbook on civil law and numerous articles on civil and commercial law, he also co-authored a number of monographs.
